FAQ

The honest questions.

The game

What ages is it for?

It's built for ages 7 to 12, and it works for anyone who can add and subtract. Adults play too, usually harder than they planned.

How is it different from Bananagrams?

Same no-turns race, different tiles. Bananagrams builds words. Numeros builds equations, and every one of them has to be true.

Does my kid need to know multiplication?

No. You can win with nothing but addition and subtraction. Multiplying and dividing just lets you use up tiles faster.

What's in the bag?

100 tiles (60 numbers and 40 math signs) and a rules card, in a drawstring bag.

How long is a game?

About 15 minutes with two players, and up to 30 with five.

Playing

Are there parentheses?

No. Order of operations still applies: multiply and divide before you add and subtract.

Can a number have more than one digit?

Yes. Number tiles side by side read as one number, up to three digits.

What if my hand has no equals tile?

Put one tile back and draw two. You can do that as often as you need.

Who checks the math?

Everyone. Any player can call “Bad math!” on a wrong equation.
